Leading European Airline Loyalty Product

Client was reengineering their airline loyalty program platform, wherever they went for demos, the key ask was how would the system perform 5 years post the rollout. This was being posed at product demos and there was a clear need to show the product performance with 10 years’ worth data volume.

We analyzed the existing production system usage, understood from business teams the new ways in which the system was redefined, anticipated data volume growth was factored. A performance test strategy was defined covering the workload mix of the critical business transactions – web services and batch jobs. Concurrent user behaviour was simulated factoring 10 years db volume.

The exercise helped unearth hardware limitations, performance issues due to missing db indexes, etc.
