Client was initiating a large digital transformation program for a leading North American retailer. This was a crucial initiative for the client and the retail customer stakeholder as this involved a major change to the system and any disruption to user experience/performance would hamper other initiatives lined up.
Existing production system usage was analyzed, critical and frequently used business transactions were identified, performance test strategy was defined devising a workload mix of the critical business transactions and batch jobs. Peak concurrent user behaviour was simulated on the system over multiple iterations unearthing 25+ critical performance issues during the course of the test.
The entire exercise unearthing critical performance issues resulting in greater go-live confidence, along with providing product level performance improvements.
