Leading Bank in UK, working on a digital bank related initiative
Client is a leading bank UK and was working on India market with digital bank initiative.
Client had a compelling initiative and stringent timeline in go-lives for the digital bank in India. With India being a large market to tap into, the client had very aggressive timelines for customer acquisition and operations.
How did we help the Client?
Client was building the application leveraging REST APIs and building UI later on top. During the course of the application development, frequent changes were made to REST APIs based on discussions between development and business teams. Initially the client was testing the API using POSTMAN with different datasets that had lengthy test cycle times. JMETER based API framework was leveraged to carryout the API tests.
There was limited time for UI testing due to huge amount of time spent on REST API manual validation. This resulted in many of the defects detected in UI at late stage. Key constraint for the client was to deliver releases on time with the lean team.
Implemented an API validation framework that in turn works in tune with the continuous integration framework – 100% coverage of all types of APIs.
Worked on achieving 60-70% automation using Selenium & Test NG based framework for the user interface, from a regression standpoint – all of these help in achieving 100% test coverage with a very lean team.
