Client is a leading Digital Bank in UK whose platform needed validation of 6000+ APIs which served as the core business-logic engine for their platform. Client initially wanted to go with a traditional UI based automation testing solution. However, they were not sure whether the approach would work given the nature of the product, process maturity of the development team and their software development process.
Differentiated Solution Delivered
• Proposed an AI enabled API based validation approach given the stability of the client’s UI and the enormous volume and complexity of the business logic that was residing in the service layer • Implemented CI/CD Jenkins Integration to trigger Automated Test runs and instant Results reporting • Implemented the framework that in turn works in tune with the CI/CD pipeline that provided 100% coverage of all types of APIs • Completed validation of request response of APIs with additional database queries from framework • Worked on achieving 20-30% automation using Selenium & Test NG based framework for the user interface and 60-65% from the API framework , from a regression standpoint – all these helped in achieving 100% test coverage with a very lean team.
